The Collection Of Paintings

The collection of paintings that focused on the pond and bridge located on his property include; Water-Lily Pond, Water-Lilies, Bridge Over a Pond of Water-Lilies and Water Pond and Weeping Willow. They are among his most well known and love paintings and as you gaze at them, they seem to invite you into his personal garden.
Monet was known to prefer painting in the controlled setting of his private garden and property. He often gave his hired gardeners a specific plan or diagram for the garden, but always took an active role in working in the garden himself.

The National Gallery of London is located on the north side of Trafaglar Square and is one of the museums you must see if you want to see some of the world’s most important art collections. One of their most popular permanent exhibits includes Water-Lily Pond by Claude Oscar Monet which the National Gallery purchased in 1927.

Over time Monet painted ten canvases of his grounds and even recreated a couple of scenes by experimenting with different light conditions until he found his perfect formula. Many other artists have studied Monet’s use of light and color because of the realistic colours and lighting seen in his work. The value of the painting is estimated to be over 40 million dollars and possibly as high as 80 million.
